10 More for Stone Brewery

Stone Brewery Escondido, CA Photo: Austen MoltenWell, it looks likes Stone really liked my first 2 chairs because I just dropped off 10 more for their beer garden! Summer is definitely off to a great start for the Hungarian Workshop. It was prefect timing because the day of our delivery had happened to be their first movie night for the summer. The whole place was packed full of people having a good time enjoying their delicious food and great beer. My friends and I started bringing in the furniture before the movie even got started and to my surprise as soon as the chairs legs touched the grass, they were immediately taken over my Stone’s customers! This is definitely one of my favorite chair. Photo: Austen MoltenThat made all my hard work feel totally worth it and it just felt great to see everyone relaxing in my chairs. We even had a chance to go around and have a little photo shoot and everyone was delighted to pose for a few pictures. Before we left, Frank Busic gave me a big barrel of used wine/whisky barrel staves to see what the Hungarian Workshop can create so be sure to visit us next week to see our new line of barrel furniture! The New Chair 2012

Hi everyone,

So for the past few months I’ve been thinking of ways to upgrade my chairs and conceal all the screws like I talked about in my previous blog. Last week I finally finished all my orders and had a few days to try out a couple new ideas. The first thing I wanted to do is make the chair even for comfortable than before. Whiskey Barrel Chair - Closed TopFirst what I did was, I raised the front end up an inch. I know it dosen’t sound much but it made a world of difference. By lifting the front end, it put the back slats at more of a slant which let you to recline further back into the chair. I then wanted to make the chairs feel a little more like they are wrapping around the person, and allowing them to just sink deep into it. That is why I cut the back support’s curves an additional 1/2 inch back creating more of a radius for better support and comfort. Now that the chair is even more relaxing I wanted to make it a little more stylish. All the edges are now rounded off with a 3/8″ router bit instead of the 1/4″, making the chair’s appearance more elegant. Shipping can be a make the deal or break the deal for some people. No one wants to spend over the half cost on shipping for anything. For example  if you were to buy something for $100 the last thing you want is shipping to cost over $50. Stone Brewery Deal

Im proud to say that these 2 chairs are sitting in the beer garden at the Stone Brewing Company in Escondido CA.Hi everyone and welcome back!

I am happy to report  that I have sold 2 chairs to one of my favorite beer brewing companies. It all started in the beginning of April when I received a message via Etsy from Frank Busic the general manager at Stone. I must have read that email a dozen times thinking it was too good to be true. I couldn’t believe what a perfect timing this was, right when I’m about to launch my site I get a huge company interested in my product. Hidden hardware?

Well, here I am again with another dilemma. I have been reading and looking at some new ways to upgrade my Adirondack patio sets because recently I have had some customers concerned about exposed screw heads. Like the ones that secure the seat slats, back rest and the ones that hold the arms together. Welcome!!!

Hello everybody and welcome to the Hungarian Workshop, if you have not had a chance to read my About Us page here is a brief run-through about me and my site.

My name is Balazs Moldovan and I’m from Miskolc Hungary, my family and I moved to the USA in 1996. I started doing carpentry for the first time in wood shop class during high school and fell in love with it. Throughout my early twenties I realized how much more I enjoyed being my own boss and working for myself. Being creative and prevailing on my own felt like the life for me. Soon as I got laid off, thoughts like that gave me the kick in the pants just to go for it. A few month later I packed my stuff and moved out to southern California to make it happen.

Now I’m writing my very first blog and building this site with a help of a few friends. (Thanks Tom and Austen). With this site I’m hoping to build a friendly relationship with all my clients and provide excellent customer service throughout the years to come.
