This month we started a new category in our online shop. The Current Set Deals is a new class that just focuses on commonly ordered sets with savings already applied. 3 Piece Pub Set

The first and ones of our most popular Whiskey Barrel Bar Sets we offer is a three pieces set which includes two stools and one table. We have sold many of these to tasting rooms, bistros, wineries, distilleries and breweries. It is a great little set that fits into small corners of bars, game rooms, and home wine cellars.

The barstools are 30″ tall and have a memory swivel that self reposition when not in use. They can rotate 180 degrees so getting in and out of close quarters is easy. The table is 42″ tall and you can choose which side of the barrel head you want facing up. There is the Outside Golden Brown, which will also feature some sort of distillery logo, writing, numbering or stamping. The other option is the Inside Charred black where the table top is completely black from the torching done by the distilleries. (all whiskey barrel’s insides are fully charred which gives the whiskey its color and great taste.

3 Piece Pub Set #2

The second set is pretty much the same except the barstools come with a backrest. Same seat height and same table height also.

4 Piece Lounge Set 

The thirds set is our lounge set. It is a four pieces set that is the most bang for your buck. It comes with two of our signature lounge chairs, one end table and one ottoman. When choosing the chairs you can pick their backrest style. We have two options, Open Top or Closed Top. You can pick both the same or one of each. The end table is 18″ tall and just like for the bar tables, you can choose the table top side as well. The ottoman is pretty simple, lines up in the front of the chair with the same style of design. A must have if you really want to kick back and relax while enjoying your favorite beverage.

Whiskey Barrel Bar Sets

“San Diego Barrel Furniture by the Hungarian Workshop. If you ever visited a Stone Brewing Company location you most likely have sat in one of our chairs. “

We are currently running a big sale on most of our barrel furniture. Right now the sale is mainly focused on our Kentucky Bourbon and Tennessee Whiskey barrel furniture. All our pieces are handcrafted and were designed for comfort and elegance. Our most popular and best seller is our Lounge Chairs which we have created over 800 of in the past six years. These chairs come in a couple different variations. You can choose to have them made from Wine or Whisky barrels, and also what style you want to back rest to be. Weather you want them to be rocking chairs and if you prefer and interior version with Italian leather upholstery.

When you are deciding between Wine or Whiskey (Bourbon) keep in mind wine is more of a lighter oak with red stains left behind from the wine itself. Bourbon whiskey barrels are much more darker with brown, black and dark green patinas. The inside is charred black. There is the “Closed Top” and “Open Top” back rest option, both feel great and now you have choice to mix and match sets.

The other option is if you want your chair to be a rocking chair. Our signature Recurved Rockers are one of kind since we actually re-bend the wood to allow a proper rocking motion. Barrels them self don’t actually have a clean and steady curve so this concept creates the best rockers on the market.

The last and final option you can choose is the Italian leather upholstery version. If you prefer to go the high end interior route, you can now have a beautifully tufted upholstered barrel chair handcrafted strictly for indoors. The seat and backrest have a thick and soft cushioning which makes these chair the finest quality all around. We offer six different colors:

The interior leather chairs are usually not on sale since a lot of work goes into making them. Since they are mostly made to order we won’t have a bunch sitting around waiting to go on sale. “We now have a couple Tennessee Whiskey Barrel Furniture avaiable for those true JD whiskey collectors. Limited supplies available. Act now!”

In the recent few months we have acquired some amazing JD barrels. They feature the company’s brand showing off the barrels true history. These are a must have for any whiskey collector who is a fan of the brand. The only thing is, these are very limited and may not always available. In the past 5 years we have only came across a couple dozen. Our suppliers receive barrels mostly from Kentucky so obtaining these Tennessee Whiskey ones is rare. Each product in the category list will say how many is available for purchase at that time.

Tennessee Whiskey Barrel Furniture

In our Tennessee Whiskey collection we have three items and one set which is made up of three pieces. Since it is the most popular item we make, we have the lounge chairs of course, and the Recurved Rockers available in the Tennessee Whiskey option. We also came out with a new nightstand design which is also available in regular bourbon and wine barrel version too. The set we offer is a Pub Table and two Pub Stools with a memory swivel to go along with the table.

The Lounge Chair – Tennessee Whiskey Style

This is our standard very popular lounge chair design that is loved by many. Same model and measurements all around. The main difference is just the branded logos put on by the company. We try to use about five staves which feature some part of the brand. The two front legs and one arm will have distinguished marking. Since the complete logo often lands of a few small skinny staves, we try to use those as well which work great for some parts in the back.

The Recurved Rocker 

This piece will pretty much feature the same elements that the standard lounge chair will.  Five stave will show off the branding. The recurved bottom stave will allow for a sweet rocking motion while you relax with your favorite beverage.

The Nightstand –

Our new nightstand is very similar to our end tables. They are a little shorter (20″) to accommodate a standard bed height and feature a bottom shelve for any additional storage that maybe needed. These are available in Bourbon and Wine barrel as well. The Tennessee Whiskey versions will have a branded top with the full JD brand.

The Pub Set –

Last but not least is our Tennessee Whiskey Pub Set. The set is made up of one of our signature Pub Table and two Pub Stools to go along with it. The pub table will have a fully branded top and the stools will have couple of their leg staves branded as well. Making it a true Tennessee Whiskey barrel furniture set.

“We have been selling our signature Whiskey Barrel Skateboards for over 5 years! Now, we are offering the limited edition Tennessee Whiskey Barrel Boards.”

The Hungarian Workshop is the originator of the whiskey barrel skateboard movement. Five years ago I plained some staves just the right way and attached them together to create a unique and one of  kind barrel skateboard. Since then our design has been in magazines and even received a full page add in the Wine Enthusiast. Now, with a few extra barrels left over, we are offering the Tennessee Whiskey barrel themed boards. Ideal for any side walk surfers who are looking for a rare and fun item to show off. Or the true whiskey collector looking for that special conversation piece to hang in their man cave.

This is a very limited offer since we don’t usually have these barrels in stock. They are hard to come by and come at a high price. Sometimes we get lucky enough to find a few in our truck loads.

All Whiskey Barrel Skateboards are about 30 inches long and 8-9 inches wide. The decks are one inches thick solid oak and is very heavy duty and durable. The trucks are more of a longboard style cruiser so don’t expect to hit the skateparks up and start grinding right away. If you can, more power to you! Send us a few action shots! “So far we have handcrafted over 750 of the barrel lounge chairs alone. Those we keep numbered and tagged.”

This year we will be getting into our 800th barrel lounge chairs. (Stone Brewing Barrel Chairs) We produce anywhere from 100-150 a year. Stone alone will have us make about 20-30 a year. They are an amazing company to work with and since they are opening so many locations world wide the request for more chairs and other furniture keep pouring in. Just last month they were figuring out the logistics on how to get 50 chairs over the Berlin, Germany. Even though it would be a $hit ton of work, we are ready to go for them at any given time.

The phrase Stone Brewing Barrel Chairs is a popular way people refer to our work and even though we are a separate company it I don’t mind it at all. They are one of San Diego’s largest craft breweries. I am happy to be working with Stone. Plus they make my favorite IPA’s.

The barrel lounge chairs line pretty much started over at their Escondido location. If you go browse around in their beer garden you might be able to find chair #2! I have chair #1 on my deck. Over the years the design definitely has been upgraded and new type of hardware and finishes has been implemented as well.

Stone Brewing Barrel Chairs – Hungarian Workshop inventory update:

This summer I am putting a hold on our Home Decor and Accessories items and a couple of our less frequently ordered furniture. What this means I will be phasing out the “Made To Order” concept. So for a while some items will show up as Out OF Stock. This will give us plenty of time to focus on building a huge inventory. Allowing us to start shipping out order within the week they are ordered. No more waiting 2-3 weeks or sometimes even 4-6 weeks to receive your furniture.

Once we have what i would call the appropriate amount of furniture in stock, we will start building our Home Decor and Accessories items too. Which will work out perfectly since end of summer is when we have to begin for the holiday restock. You can never be too early for the Christmas rush. I feel like for the past years we have been starting a couple weeks earlier and earlier. As your business grows so will your customer base.

Stone Brewing Barrel Chairs – NEW Distillery Brand Available In July

I have been posting about this news a couple times before and because I usually get several emails a month people asking me, I will continue spreading the word. Starting in July the Hungarian Workshop will have quite a few Jack Daniel’s Barrel lounge chair sets available for purchase. We have been collecting them since they are a rare find and also found a couple secrete suppliers. Unfortunately these barrels are not cheap for us but bartering does help. Ha. The J.D. Tennessee Whiskey barrel lounge chairs are going to be exactly the same design and dimensions as our Kentucky Bourbon barrel lounge chairs. The main difference will be that the legs and some other staves throughout the chairs will have the J.D. letters branded in to the wood.

A Jack Daniel’s barrel will also have one barrel head branded as well. These we either use as end tables to go along with a set or we turn them into one of kind wall clocks. I wrote a whole entire blog post just on them. (Follow this link if you want to learn how those are made.)
