You can choose from wine or whiskey barrel which are greatly different. The Wine Barrel is usually very light in color and has some red tint in the inside of the barrel wood left behind from its content. The organic red stains will eventually fade to a light brown because as I said before it is organic. No chemicals just natural wine coloring which gracefully fade a bit as time goes on.
The whiskey barrels are much darker ands have drastic differences in patinas. Some are lighter browns and some are dark with a little bit of green like tint. A slight camouflage appearance if you will. And there are even staves that may look solid black. The inside of the whiskey barrel is charred completely which is what gives the whiskey its great colors. Once we wire wheel it clean the remainder is solid black charred wood. Basically the whiskey barrel wood will always be much darker than any of the wine barrel wood.

Each hide is tanned in a way that the cows hide comes through authentically. Meaning some imperfections will be present. Just like our barrel furniture.
